Yes, I know the Oscars are over, and I know the best picture has been selected. Joe and I attended the Cinemark two day Oscar Movie Marathon (though we left early both Saturdays).
the first day they showed;
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Amore
Life of Pi
Les Miserables
Lincoln
We left after Les Miserables that day and had already seen all of the movies except the first two
The second they showed;
Argo
Silver Linings Playbook
Zero Dark Thirty
Django Unchained
We left after Silver Linings, and once again had seen all the movies except the first two previously.
I am thrilled that Argo one, I thought it was very well done, and was a great win for a political movie.
Here Is my top five of the movie's
5. Life of Pi
4. Les Miserables
3. Django Unchained
2. Argo
1. Silver Linings Playbook.
I absolutely LOVED Silver Linings Playbook, and read the book immediately after...the book and movie are so different, but I think that is a good thing, because the movie would have been SO boring that way. Jennifer Lawrence gave a GREAT performance, and she definitely deserved her best actress win.
I already mentioned that I thought Argo was great and deserved its win (even though Silver Linings was my favourite, I knew it wouldn't win)
Django Unchained has one of the best/funniest shootouts I have EVER seen. and Christoph Waltz also deserved his Best Supporting Actor win (Joe was soo shocked, but happy..he thought that Tommy Lee Jones would win for Lincoln).
Les Miserables is a musical, which explains a lot. I love the music, and the story line..but lets face it, I prefer happy musicals..this one is so depressing.. I enjoy it though, but its not an everyday love. Do You Hear the People Sing is my favorite scene from the movie..though one of my favorite lines is from 'Look Down (the beggars version)' where Gavroche says 'Here is the thing about equality, everyone's equal when they're dead' .. the ending made me bawl.
Life of Pi is definitely a different viewing from Brokeback Mountain Director Ang Lee. It is a beautifully tragic imaginary movie.

I couldn't find Amore anywhere. Also, if you'd like some good reading, see if your local library has Silver Linings Playbook, other wise you can buy it in regular book form, or on kindle, by clicking the photos below.
I am done blogging for the night. I hope everyone who happens to stumble upon this blog has an awesome night if youre not already sleeping.
