Graze Boxes 2 and 3

Since I never got around to posting about my second graze box, and I received my third today and have already tried all of my goodies from it.. I will make this a two in one review :) So, here goes.

Graze Box #2 Contents;
Bonnie Wee Oatbakes
Toffee Apple
Super Berry Detox
Mississippi BBQ Pistachios

Thoughts;
I wasn't a big fan of the Oatbakes..the Onion Marmalade was pretty good, but I didn't like the taste/texture of the oatbakes themselves..this item has been put in my trash section.
The Toffee Apple was delicious....basically its caramel apples but the apples are dried.
Super Berry Detox..well, I love dried fruits in general, so all of this mixed together..yum!
Mississippi BBQ Pistachios were pretty good, minus my one complaint of all shelled pistachios..some were a pain in the butt to get out of the shell.

Box #3 contents;
My Thai
Fruit and Seed Flapjack
Florentine
Olive and Rosemary Bruschetta

Thoughts;
My Thai: Okay I was expecting the soy bites to be soft, so when I bit in and it was hard, it was quite the surprise..reminded me of those little rice cakes. the sweet chilli sauce is exactly that, sweet...it is not spicy at all..which is fine by me. Definitely a winner here.
Fruit and Seed Flapjack: Once again, the people running this company KNOW how to do granola bars...just enough of a combination of dried fruits and seeds in these
Olive and Rosemary Bruschetta: I wasn't too sure about this one, as I'm honestly not a big olive person..but the flavoring is not overpowering and its actually quite good.
Florentine: Once again, one I was nervous about (Not a big dark chocolate fan here) .. but the chocolate isn't as bitter as other darks I have had...the pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries add to the flavors as well.

I apologize for the horrible reviews on box #2. I should have remembered to do it when I first got it.

Coming up;
Next week, along with Box #4 (woohoo!)..I will be doing a Diamond Candle Review/Ring Reveal! (I may also do a video of my ring reveal!) I am soo excited for this one, Cant wait to make the house smell like cupcakes without baking, and looking forward to finding out if I got an expensive ring from a $27 candle! (That's including shipping *until Feb 28th*)"

I will try to keep up on this blog more regularly..

Graze Box Arrival!

So my graze box arrived today! I have already sampled everything and its all delicious! I think the British Barbeque and Cookies and Cream are my favorites of the four that I recieved, but I like them all. The British Barbeque reminds me of Gardettos Italian blend..and well cookies n cream is a nice sweet snack. The flap jacks are really good and dont taste processed like most granola bars do. Then theres Tutti Fruitti which is like a dried fruit mix..its pretty delish too and the first time ive had dried pineapple. I think I will stick with this company, and I would suggest it to anyone..Im already looking forward to next weeks box. If you wish to join please refer to two posts back to get my referal/invite code..or it is on the picstitch photo posted on this post if you can see it.

Graze

So, there is a new 'box' website called Graze.com. I believe it officially launched on the 22nd of January, so it is still a baby of a company. Anyways..Graze is an invitation only company that sends you boxes with healthy yummy (well I am guessing that they are yummy) snacks every week for just $5 a box (Shipping and all of that fun stuff is included with this price). You receive your first box for free and I believe your fifth box is free as well (At least mine is), and whenever you get a person to sign up using your invite code you can either donate a dollar to the Graze School of Farming in Uganda (I will get to that later) or a dollar off on your next box (You cannot use multiple dollars off on one box however..so if you had two people sign up and chose the dollar off with both those would go to two seperate boxes). I have not yet recieved my first box as I just signed up last night, however I am REALLY excited to find out what I get and how it is...and I will do a review asap.

I bet you are wondering what kinds of healthy snack foods they have...well, they have quite a bit of yummy looking healthy snacks.. the categories are;
Dips & Dippers
Flap Jacks (Granola Bars)
Savory Snacks
A Touch of Chocolate (theres stuff with Dark Chocolate and stuff with White Chocolate)
Healthy Treats
Pure Fruit
Whole Nuts
Pure Fruits, Nuts and Seeds
Super Seeds.

The website individually shows every selection that they have and you can click on Trash (If you dont like the item), Try (if you want to try the item), Like (If you have tried the item and you like it) and Love (if you've tried it ant loved it). All of the items also have a full list of ingredients. ..Now, if you are vegetarian/Vegan, you can automatically trash everything that doesnt fit your dietary needs..(same goes for if you need glueten free, dairy free, etc).

Now onto the Graze School of Farming in Uganda.- it is basically something that this company set up to teach locals how to grow fruit trees in Uganda, they provide tution, tools, and whatever else is needed to grow orchards. so while the company is helping feed us they are also helping out a poor/deprived country/community.

Soo, I hope that I have gotten some people interested in Graze, and I will do a review of my first Graze Box once it comes in.

For those of you who do want to join Graze, here is my invite code for you to use.

All you have to do is go to Graze and enter in that code in the box that says 'enter here to get started' .. then it will prompt you to sign up.

I am pretty excited about this even if it does cost money. =]

Burger King..Boone's newest Fast Food Place

Okay, I generally don't review restaurants..especially not fast food chains. Anyways, the town I live in just got a burger king (the only fast food burger joint we have had before then is McDonalds) I was SUPER excited to try it..especially after hearing they had a coca-cola free style.

Anyways, My Loves and I went to check it out today. I am throughly NOT impressed..its being run by a bunch of incompetent people. First off..it took like 5+ minutes for our food, it wasnt that busy, and the food wasnt hot so its not like they had just cooked the food and thats what took it so long.  I got Declan a kids meal with milk, they didnt give us the milk so I had to go up (wait ANOTHER 5+ minutes for them to notice/get to me) and ask for the milk. the Freestyle machine was out of half if not OVER half of the sodas..I was stuck getting sparkling peach water rather than my regular orange vanilla coke (mm dreamsicle cola).

I know its a new place and they have to get kinks worked out..but its a chain, there is NO excuse for a chain place to suck as bad as this place does. Yes, there are new workers..but most places will bring in workers from their other locations to help out until the actual workers figure stuff out/get on their feet. Look at the Whole Food Store in West Des Moines, they brought in people from other states to help out (This is the first WFM in Iowa) .. The huge Hy-Vee in Urbandale had people from other Hy-Vee locations working in nearly every department when they opened..to help get them on their feet...So with a chain there is NO reason to be this slow and not know how to run your soda machine.

I also laugh at the fact that like no one knew how to run the freestyle (customers) so I was sitting on my seat (they have the awesome footstool style seats Dec and I sat on one) explaining to people that only the ones that are lit up work, you have to push the one you want..it gives you more options..choose what you want then the push button dispenses your drink.

I dont know if I will go back to this BK..If I do it will be awhile. Until then, I will spend the extra money for gas/food and go to Noodles and Co. when  I need an Orange Vanilla coke fix..because they keep thier freestyle filled..

Influenster Relaunch

So, the website influenster, recently revamped and relaunched. It is invite only, and therefore much more exclusive now. I think their concept is great, but could use some work. There,s a point system now that goes up and down depending on your ranking among other influensters. I don't like that it goes down, it makes it seem like a competition to better yourself among others. I believe the point system should just stay idle unless you do something to have your points go up. There is the big influenster badge, that shows your total influence, and then you get five expert badges that also have points (later on, I believe that they are going to allow people to get more expert badges) based on the tasks you complete, so be careful of what expert badges you go for.

then there's the review section. I love that they categorized this and added more items to review, and that they will soon launch the add an item button. However, most of the items up for review are expensive and/or hard to find for some people, so its hard to do a review on something you cannot afford/find...so I am looking forward to that add an item button to be working.

There are more opportunities for voxboxes, as the runners of the program are always thinking up great box ideas, for all demographics! As always, the program, and the boxes are free! You're not guaranteed a box, but when you do get one, you don't have to pay a cent! the boxes are filled with free full sized samples of goodies ranging from Food to Beauty products and more!

This was the website that I learned I love the Gillette Venus/Olay razor, Stash Tea, and Truvia sweetener (just to name a few items that have been sent in past voxboxes)

So, if you are interested in receiving free items, willing to review/blog/vlog about the items you get, please click the link at the top of this post and request an invite. Once you get notification that you qualified for your first box, you wont regret it.

Influenster Mom VoxBox!!

This is the second VoxBox that I have received so far. This box was designed for mothers.
The box includes; imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails (price ranges between $5.99 and $7.99) Ivory Bar Soap (Price $4.27 for 10 pack bath size bars) The Original Dish Drying Mat (Price $4.99) Stash Tea Superfruits Tea Sampler & Nektar Sweetener (Price $3.50) Quaker Soft Baked Cookie (Price $2.69 for a box of 6) Dentek Comfort Clean and Fun Flossers (Price ranges between $1.99 and 2.99 for full packs)

Reviews of what I have tried;
imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails, First off, let me say that the color I received is definately something I would NEVER pick for myself..I'm a mother, I'm not dead, I still like to wear bright neon colors, and glitter..especially on my nails. Second, these are FAKE nails, which means they are LONG. I hate long nails, I don't know if this is from being in Orchestra for 7 years of my life, or because I bite my nails. I tried these on last night, and only managed to get on four nails before I took them off. I am sure people who wear acrylic/fake nails would like these though, as the application is really easy. You just peel the plastic off of the nail and stick. For myself, I would rate these a 2/5.
Quaker Soft Baked Cookie, I ate this last night, and Im not really sure how one rates food. It tasted like an oatmeal raisin cookie. It was nice and soft, and I think it would be something Declan doodle would enjoy too. I guess taste wise it got a 4/5
The Original Dish Drying Mat, Okay, so I cant exactly 'review' this product, as I do not do the dishes in the house, Joe does. He did seem pretty excited to use it, and took it from me as soon as I opened my box..so out of his excitement level, Ill give this product a 4/5
Those are the items I (or another household member) has used so far.
Note:: I received these products to try and review for free from Influenster.com
